ApartDirect’s FAQ

Booking and Payment

  • Yes, a stay of minimum 2 nights is required for all reservations with ApartDirect.

  • To cancel your booking please send us an email. Please note, if you have made your reservation at other booking websites (booking.com, hotels.com, expedia.com etc), you will need to contact them to cancel the booking. The cancellation policy is always the same, but additional fees might apply. 

  • When you book with us directly, you can choose free cancellation up to 1 day before arrival, or non-refundable. If you choose to cancel within the requested time, you will be refunded your whole amount. It could take some time before you see the money on your account due to bank policies.

    If you have booked through an external booking site, please check your reservation on your account to find your cancellation policy.

  • It is possible to modify the guest information provided; it is also possible to prolong the booking if there is availability. You can change this information by getting in touch with ApartDirect customer service.

    All other changes are subjected to the cancellation policy.

  • No, there's no need for discount codes as our 10% discount is already integrated on our website. Even our long-stay 29+ nights discount is integrated in our search engine on our website. Just insert the desired dates, and you will be provided with a list of available apartments at the lowest price guaranteed.

  • No. You'll need to have a credit card to guarantee your booking.There is no reception at our apartment hotels. We therefore cannot accept cash as a method of payment. Payment is made by credit card online through a secured payment platform. We accept Visa, AMEX or Master Card. You will need to pay the entire amount to book the apartment. We also accept swish and paypal.

  • No. You'll need to have a credit card to book with ApartDirect.There is no reception at our apartment hotels. We therefore cannot accept cash as a method of payment. Payment is made by credit card online through a secured payment platform. We accept Visa, SWISH, PayPall or Master Card. You will need to pay the entire amount to book the apartment.

  • Please, get in touch with ApartDirect directly and give them your full name and date you're arriving. Our customer service will check if they have received the booking and send you the confirmation email with the receipt.

  • You can make a group booking through the website.You are also welcome get in touch with ApartDirect directly. Contact us

  • Yes, if you are under 20 years old you must check-in with a parent or guardian.

  • Key codes are sent out 2 days prior to your arrival, if payment has been completed. If you have not received the email “Key code and check in instructions” please contact us and we will send it to you.

  • No, you can only pay before arrival. We do not have any cashier or payment option at the hotel building.

Arriving and Checking in

  • All our apartment are equipped with code locks. The entrance code for the apartment is uniquely generated for every guest and sent by email and SMS prior to your arrival. The code is activated at 3pm on your arrival date and expires at 11am on the date of your departure. Late check-in is no problem!

  • No, but we have a help desk in our apartment hotel in Hammarby Sjöstad that is open 14.30 to 22.00. You are welcome to pop by if you have any questions!

  • Yes, it is possible for an additional fee. Late check-out depends on availability,so please request it in advance.

  • Early check-in is possible for an additional fee. Late check-in is no problem. Late departure can be arranged ahead of time, subject to availability and applicable fees. Please email us at stockholm@apartdirect.com for arrangements.

  • Sure. Late check in is not a problem. All our apartment are equipped with code locks, you can enter the apartment you booked any time after 3pm on your arrival date. Be sure to have all your codes ready when you arrive at the apartment building since we don't have a reception.

  • If you are staying in Hammarby Sjöstad we have a luggage room where you can store your luggage until you check in. If you are staying in Sveavägen we have some lockers, but we can not guarantee that there is one available. Please send us an email and we will give you more information with codes to the storage room.

    If you are staying at one of our other locations that do not have a storage room we recommend to use one of the lockers at the central station.

  • There are four ways to get from Arlanda airport to the city center.

    • Taxi, should cost around 550 SEK. Takes approximately 30 minutes with no traffic.
    • Commuter trains go from Arlanda to the city center and are free for persons under 18 and cost 151SEK for adults. Takes around 1 hour.
    • Flygbussarna, a buss that goes from Arlanda to the city center costs 99 SEK and stops in liljeholmen. takes around 1 hour.
    • Arlanda express train is the fastest way to get to the city. 20 minutes.

  • No need for any keys. All our apartments are equipped with a key-code lock system. 2 days prior to your arrival we will send you an email named key-code, check-in instructions. In that email you will find all necessary info regarding your stay. Check-in starts from 15:00 and that is when your key-codes will be activated. The email will only be sent out if the payment has been made. If you cannot find the mail, please check your spam-folder.

Apartment Hotels Services

  • Yes, we supply all our apartments with hair dryers.

  • Yes, towels, linen and cleaning products are always provided.

  • Yes, kitchen is always well equipped. Kitchen facilities include: fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, pots, pans, silverware, plates, cups etc. Oven is not available in all apartments; please see the description of the apartment for details.

  • A washing machine is available in many apartments, but not all of them. Please see the description of the apartment for details.

  • It is only possible to rent a baby crib in our apartment hotel in Hammarby Sjöstad. The price is 400kr and the bed is appropriate for children under 3 years of age. Contact us by email if you wish to rent a baby bed.

  • We can provide a extra bed for a fee of 400 SEK if you are staying in the apartment type "apartment with terrace" in Hammarby sjöstad. Please contact us in advance to book a extra bed.

  • Sorry, pets are not allowed due to possible allergies of other guests.

  • Rental parking can be offered at the locations listed below. Please contact us to rent a parking spot.

    Below are the locations where you can use public parking. You can pay for your parking in the machines that should be located near to the parking spot.

    • Hammarby sjöstad
    • Gamla stan (not recommended to park here)
    • Sveavägen (not recommended to park here)

    No, unless you have received permission from the ApartDirect staff. Please contact us if you wish to have guests visiting you in one of our apartments.

  • We maintain a strict no smoking policy in the apartment in order to keep the premium furnishings fresh and clean smelling for you. We appreciate you respecting our policy.

  • Yes, all apartments are equipped with a television. 

  • We have no apartments that are directly adapted for wheelchairs.

    Our apartment hotels in Hammarby sjöstad, Älvsjö and Solna have elevators that makes it easy to reach the apartments. However, we can not guarantee that the apartments are adapted for a wheelchair. 

    The apartment hotels in Gamla stan, Sveavägen and Gröndal have no elevator and are therefore not suitable. 

  • Yes, there should be a iron and ironing board in every apartment. 

Corporate apartments (90+nights)

  • Yes,  a stay of minimum 90 nights is required for all reservations of corporate apartments with ApartDirect.

  • Yes, for stays less than 90 nights we recommend to rent a hotel apartment. Please see the availability and prices here. ApartDirect offers a discounted price for stays longer than 30 nights. Just enter the dates in the search line to see the prices.

  • We require a payment of one month´s rent and sometimes deposit equivalent to 3 months´ rent to finalize your reservation. This can be paid via payment link using your credit card or via bank transfer within 7 days after the rental agreement is signed.

  • You select one or more apartments on the website that you wish to rent.

    You send an online quotation request on our webpage or by email.

    We will confirm the availability for your stay, rental costs, send you the reservation documents and a payment link by email.  We require a payment of one month’s rent and sometimes deposit to finalize the reservation.

    You return the signed documents and make the payment with your credit card via the payment link. The payment can also be made via bank transfer. The payment should be made within 7 days after the reservation documents are signed.

    Once the payment is made and rental agreement is signed you will be sent a confirmation email with the arrival instructions.

  • All of our apartments are fully furnished to a high standard. The apartments are professionally cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure, they are also cleaned on a weekly basis. Bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchens have everything you require to prepare a meal and enough dishes and cutlery for the maximum number of guests who can sleep in the apartment. All apartments are also equipped with unlimited wi-fi included in the price.

  • Cleaning and change of bed linen and towels takes place once a week. Additional cleaning can be arranged upon request for a fee.
